Interim PR Manager, £30-40k, London

An experienced and capable PR Manager is required for a large travel industry
organisation on a 6 month contract to cover maternity leave, commencing on 3rd
July. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, the successful candidate
will be the main spokesperson to the national media and trade press, will be
responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the media, and
will need to be available, if required, for 24hr media calls. You will provide
assistance to the Head of Corporate Affairs with the Annual Convention Business
Sessions and will run the press office at the Annual Convention, at which they
will take responsibility for press guests. As well as measuring results
and producing reports, you will contribute to internal communications
publications and will liaise with industry organisations and stakeholders such
as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Travel Advice Unit. The
successful candidate will be a well-established Public Relations professional
who has experience in dealing with reactive media calls, proactive campaigns,
and event organisation. You must demonstrate excellent communication
skills, presentation and media skills, especially confidence in broadcast
interviews, and be confident that you can work well under pressure and to tight
deadlines. A knowledge of the travel industry would be an advantage but is
not essential as long as you can prove that you are a quick
