Interim PR Manager, £30-40k, London

Please note when applying for jobs in addition to submitting your CV we prefer to receive examples of your written work, case studies and/or results.

An experienced and capable PR Manager is required for a large travel industry organisation on a 6 month contract to cover maternity leave, commencing on 3rd July.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, the successful candidate will be the main spokesperson to the national media and trade press, will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the media, and will need to be available, if required, for 24hr media calls. You will provide assistance to the Head of Corporate Affairs with the Annual Convention Business Sessions and will run the press office at the Annual Convention, at which they will take responsibility for press guests.  As well as measuring results and producing reports, you will contribute to internal communications publications and will liaise with industry organisations and stakeholders such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Travel Advice Unit.

The successful candidate will be a well-established Public Relations professional who has experience in dealing with reactive media calls, proactive campaigns, and event organisation.  You must demonstrate excellent communication skills, presentation and media skills, especially confidence in broadcast interviews, and be confident that you can work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.  A knowledge of the travel industry would be an advantage but is not essential as long as you can prove that you are a quick learner.

Salary 30-40k pro rata depending on experience.
